OUR STORY
Just a couple of prairie boys ....
Ryan and Brian grew up on the prairies and have always had a connection to the outdoors. After many years of living in the city, they decided to move to North Saanich and get back to their roots. This all started with a couple of goats, some chickens and a cactus/succulent collection.
ABOUT THE PLANTED FARM
We are succulent plant enthusiasts growing and propagating succulents for years as a hobby, turning that love of plants into a small business to share what we have learned and grown. With a large variety of succulent plants including Echeveria, aeonium, senecio, crassula, sempervivum, kalanchoe, haworthia, sedum, pachyphytum, graptopetalum, euphorbia, aloe, cactus, agave and more, there is going to be something for everyone!
Joining us around the farm are five Nigerian Dwarf Goats - Molly, Ryder, Terek, Pratt and Whitney, with our Golden Retriever Kody keeping them in line.
The chickens are a blend of various types and lay a variety of coloured eggs every day that we happily sell to our community by the dozen.
FARM FRESH EGGS
We have an assortment of hens including Rhode Island Red, Barred Rock, Light and Dark Brahma, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Buff Orpington, Single Comb Leghorn, Speckled Sussex, White Silkies, Columbian Rock, Araucana, Easter Eggers, etc.
THE GREENHOUSE
What started as a hobby with a couple of plants has grown into a large collection of desert plants with many varieties on display. All our plants are locally grown in our greenhouses in North Saanich. While we do not have a structured retail area, we do sell plants by appointment and have several pop up sales and markets throughout Great Victoria in the summer.
